We hope you will stay on campus during Parent & Family Orientation and enjoy a great experience of student life – in the most ideally located and affordable accommodations in Boston. 

The main night of stay is Wednesday, June 28 for Parent & Family Orientation Session 4. However, Tuesday, June 27 and/or Thursday, June 29 are available as optional "add-ons".

33 Harry Agganis Way residence is a modern, air-conditioned, high-rise building with terrific views of Boston.

Bed and bath linens are provided

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS: If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact Events & Conferences (confreg@bu.edu or 617-353-2238) by the Wednesday prior to this session.

Please note: If additional capacity is needed or for a handicapped accessible room, your room may be located at 10 Buick Street, which is also a modern, air-conditioned, high-rise located close to 33 Harry Agganis Way. Housing Options (Rates are Per Night)

At least one person per family must participate in Parent & Family Orientation in order to qualify for campus housing. Wednesday is the main day of programming, Tuesday Nights and Thursday nights are available as an 'add on'.

*IMPORTANT:  Incoming students are not allowed to stay with parents/families staying in 33 Harry Agganis Way or 10 Buick Street at any point during their visit.  Students are required to stay with other students during University Orientation.  Students must purchase their own extra-night stays during the Orientation registration process.  We appreciate your help with this in giving your students the best University Orientation experience possible.

Single Bedroom - $73.50/night: Family members attending on their own (only one parent attending) will be assigned to a private bedroom (single bed for 1 person) in a suite shared with other adult Orientation attendees of the same gender.

Family of 2 - $147.00/night: Families of two (a couple or a parent and a sibling) will either be assigned to their own suite or share a suite with another family of two. In this latter situation, each family of two will have a private bedroom with 2 single beds (1 person per bed) and their own bathroom. 

Please specify the name, gender, and age of the other guest on the order form.

Family of 3 or more - $172.50/night: Families of three to five will be assigned to their own suite. Each bedroom within the suite has a single bed for 1 person.

Please specify the names, genders, and ages of all of your additional guests on the order form.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Can my child (the incoming student) stay with me ? Students are required to stay with other students at West Campus to take advantage of the University Orientation experience. 

How do I check in? Come to the ground floor lobby of 33 Harry Agganis Way. You will just need to give your first and last name, you do not need your Eventbrite ticket. 

What time can I check in? Check in begins at 3pm. For late-night arrivals, there will be an on-call phone number posted at the desk.

How will my room be assigned? Please see the descriptions about the Housing Options and Rates for details about room types. 

How do I make requests for accommodations? Please make a note in the "Special Accommodations" section when you place your reservation or contact us: confreg@bu.edu or 617-353-2238. 

What if I decide not to stay on campus on one or more of the nights I reserved? You can cancel your reservation for a full refund by contacting Events & Conferences by Wednesday of the week prior to the session. Cancellations or 'no shows' after this time are not refundable. Please contact Events & Conferences to change your reservation dates: confreg@bu.edu or 617-353-2238.

After I have reserved, what if I need to change the Session (dates of the reservation)? Session changes can be requested with no additional fees by contacting Events & Conferences by Wednesday of the week prior to the session.

After the deadline, you will need to pay for both the original reservation and the new reservation. Please contact Events & Conferences to change your reservation dates: confreg@bu.edu or 617-353-2238.

What rules and regulations apply to staying overnight on campus? Please visit the Dean of Student's BU Residential Policies page for details. 

What should I bring? Full bedding and bath linens are provided. You may want to bring flip-flops and easily portable bath amenities. Depending on the room type you reserve, you may share a bathroom with another person of the same gender also attending Parent & Family Orientation.

Where is Student Housing for Orientation? Rich Hall, located on West Campus, is a traditional non-air-conditioned residence hall located at 277 Babcock Street. Overflow housing will be provided next door in Sleeper Hall at 275 Babcock Street.  BU Housing provides uniformed security coverage at the main entrances of each residence hall. Free Wi-Fi is available.
